About Boundary Review

Boundary Review is an independent editorial publication. We publish practical guides for UK homeowners and small property managers who are making decisions about fences, hedges and boundary structures. Our aim is simple: to help you make calmer, better informed choices by setting out the trade offs clearly.

We are not a fencing company, a manufacturer, an installer or a trade association. We do not sell products or services. Every article is written from published official guidance, recognised trade practice and the questions that come up again and again in UK boundary work. We do not carry out site visits or laboratory tests, and we do not present invented case studies or unnamed experts.

Our content is grouped into three sections. Materials and build compares fence and screening options on durability, weathering, upkeep and long term cost. Care and repair covers seasonal inspection and repair routines that keep a boundary structure sound. Rules and neighbours explains planning rules, ownership questions and the everyday courtesies of boundary changes.

We write in British English and review pages when regulations, standards or common practice change. Where an article touches on legal or safety matters, it points to the official source to check rather than replacing it.
